THE Haven Art Group, based in Marhamchurch, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and will be holding an exhibition to mark the occasion.
A group spokesperson said: “We are a group of 15 local artists who meet weekly in the Marhamchurch Methodist Church hall, and paint in a variety of mediums and styles, and we have an annual exhibition to show and sell our work.
“This year we are exhibiting over 60 original framed paintings, plus many more unframed, and our crafts include; hand painted boxes, slates, cards, collectables, jewellery and Emu eggs.”
During the exhibition Marhamchurch Primary School children will be displaying items of pottery they have made.

The anniversary exhibition will be held at Marhamchurch Methodist Church Hall, Pinch Hill, Marhamchurch, from Friday, May 3, to Sunday, May 5, 10am to 6pm, and on Monday, May 6, from 10am to 3pm.
The spokesperson added: “We are happy to be sharing our celebrations with Marhamchurch Food Fair on Monday, May 6, and are contributing items of our work to the fund raising auction. We look forward to welcoming locals and visitors.”
Admission is free, but donations to the Methodist Church are welcome.
