THE Haven Art Group, based in Marhamchurch, celebrated its 20th anniversary with an exhibition in Marhamchurch Methodist Church hall.

The exhibition saw more than 60 original paintings on display as well as many different crafts and collectables.

There was also a display of pottery work created by pupils from the local primary school, which received great admiration from the hundreds of people who came out on the day.

Yvonne Goodwin, secretary of the Haven Art Group, said: “Despite the chilly breeze, the sun shone and we had over 260 visitors to our 20th Anniversary Exhibition, and sold a total of 42 items including paintings and crafts. The children’s display of pottery was a lovely addition and received lots of interest.”

Donations from visitors to the Methodist Church on the day were £21.
