TREGADILLETT Village Hall and St John Ambulance Hall, Launceston were the venues for a wonderful weekend of fundraising.

Tregadillett resident Joan Knight has suffered multiple illnesses over the last two years, which have resulted in her spending time both at the Derriford Hospital, Plymouth and under the consultation of specialists at home.

It is the "absolutely brilliant" treatment that she received at the hands of Dr Kelly and his team there that inspired Joan to organise the event, as a way of offering thanks and raising funds for the oncology unit at the hospital.
