POLZEATH Coastguard was among the emergency services that responded to a two-vehicle collision on the B3314 near Trewornan Farm, near Wadebridge, on the evening of Tuesday, July 31.
Two people were airlifted to Derriford hospital, with life threatening injuries, after the Coastguard helped set up a helicopter landing site.
The collision at around 11pm involved a Silver Smart Roadster coupe car and a Blue Peugeot 206 travelling in opposite directions. Police said for reasons yet to be established the vehicles collided off side to off side resulting in serious damage to both vehicles.
The road was closed for a period of time to allow for occupants of the vehicle to be removed, forensic scene examination and investigation, vehicle recovery and scene clearance.
As a result of this collision, the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for witnesses who may be able to add some information to this investigation to come forward quoting log number DCP-20180731-1122.
