CURRENT and past members of Westcountry Embroiderers, Bude Branch, celebrated the clubs pearl anniversary recently at the Falcon Hotel, Bude.

All members contributed a four inch square of embroidery, 56 in all, which were ably assembled by member Liz Blair, to make a wall hanging to celebrate the event. The base edge was decorated with pearl and blue beads, many hand-made, by Ann Going.

Group representative, Linda Ashworth welcomed everyone and introduced guest speaker Dee-Ann McCoull, textile artist and acrylic painter, who entertained with the amusing story of her life in art and stitch. Dee is a most gifted lady who tells an amusing tale.
