ELEVATION 593 is the destination for South West music fans this month as it will feature nine bands, locally sourced produce and a whole host of other entertainment. — all in aid of two local charities.
There will be farm-fresh produce on offer, a barbeque, which is equipped with vegetarian options as well as the traditional meats, that can all be washed down with one of many ciders, ales on offer, not forgetting the ‘Pimms & Gin bar’.
There will also be a whole plethora of entertainment and an on-site camping area available to ticket holders for the Saturday night.
At 593-feet above mean sea level, Elevation 593 is possibly one of the highest festival in the county, with views to match! The idea behind Elevation 593 is to establish an exciting new event on the north Devon calendar during the summer. The musical acts featuring this year will include acts from a range of influences through rock, folk, pop, punk, mod, jazz, soul, latin and funk.
The festival will benefit two local charities, The North Devon Hospice and The Plough Arts Centre.
The North Devon Hospice offer care and support to individuals and families affected by a life-limiting illness.
A spokesperson for Elevation 593 said: “We are delighted to be supporting NDH, who will also be involved in a lot of the voluntary support at the festival, so come and meet them!”
The Plough Arts Centre provides exciting opportunities for all people to experience a wide and vibrant range of high quality arts events both as audience and participants.
The spokesperson for Elevation 593 added: “The Plough Arts Centre have been integral in the curation of our inaugural festival and will be very present on the day so, despite being very grateful for their support, we are also delighted to be returning the favour! Tickets cost £14 in advance and £17.50 on the gate with only limited number available.
There are a strictly limited number of group tickets available at 10 for £100.
