THERE was glorious sunshine for this year's open gardens event at Bridgerule. Eight gardens were open this year, which included three new ones and ranged from small areas to those with several acres of land with lakes containing fish, and some showing farm animals, a donkey, chickens and friendly ducks. The popular Bridge Mill was demonstrating grain being made into flour and was surrounded with gardens, farm animals and lakes to walk round. Refreshments at several places, plus plants and produce for sale in various gardens. For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
