WHITSTONE Community Primary School’s pupils Chloe Martyn, Ollie Mould, Aaron Jones and Thomas Britton accompanied headteacher Hannah Mould to the Holsworthy branch of Waitrose to receive a cheque for £250 from branch manager Damian Heard.

Mrs Mould said: “We would like to thank everyone who chose to support Whitstone School in Waitrose’s green token scheme. The children and staff are grateful to Mrs Jo Britton, representing Whitstone’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association, for nominating the school.”

Mrs Mould added that the money will be used to develop ‘reading corners’ in each of the classes and the school’s library.
