PUPILS in Year 5 and Year 6 at Stratton Primary School took the challenge to travel to and from school in a 'green' and sustainable way.

Their target was to achieve 3,000 'green' journeys before Christmas. They did it in record speed reaching their 3,000 goal in eight weeks, nine days early!

The scheme devised by Becky Rowland, Stratton Primary's Sustainable Travel Co-ordinator attributed their sustained motivation to the weekly incentive prizes donated by local businesses, as well as parent participation!

The highlight was the final grand prize draw which included amazing prizes donated by Air Culture, HPT Sports, The Merchant Man, Rosie's Café and a Body Shop rep.
