A BUDEHAVEN student, who has recently completed his Marine Biology and Ecology Extended National Diploma at Falmouth Marine School, is off to Cape Verde for six weeks on a summer internship before starting a four year masters programme in Marine Biology at the University of Essex.

Jake Woodie, 18, originally from Budehaven, found out about the internship offered by the Turtle Foundation, from the college website and during tutorials last year.

The Turtle Foundation provides worldwide protection and conservation of Sea Turtles and offers the opportunity for students to participate in projects.
