THE Launceston Rotary Community Shop was recently approached by the chair of the Launceton Chamber of Commerce, Irena Jordi-Slater, for financial help towards the 2017 town Christmas lighting.

This is an annual request, which Rotary is happy to consider. It is a regular large expense for the town, needing the money for maintenance, repair, putting the lights up and taking them down again, and obtaining permissions and licences.
