THE managing director of a Launceston firm has completed a Ben Nevis mountain climb in support of Parkinson's UK, raising more than £2,000 for the charity in the process. Grahame Humphries, who works for Solitas Ltd, based at Pennygillam, wanted to raise money to support the work of the organisation, following the diagnosis that his wife Marian was suffering from Parkinson's disease. Grahame heard about a Ben Nevis challenge that he thought would be a fun way of raising some sponsorship, and put together a team of four, made up of himself and his two son in laws, Jonathan Quinn and Andy Hardy, and his accountant, Sally Reed, of local firm Sally Reed Ltd. The team travelled to Scotland and attempted the challenge on Saturday, June 7, along with 111 other teams from all over the country.
