A GIRL band has filmed their debut music video at Lifton’s Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre.
Bristol’s ‘Girl Next Door’ is made up of teens Alisha, Cheyenne, Georgia, who have been together for three years after applying to an advertisement recruiting singers for a new girl group.
After working with a team of songwriters, music producers, vocal coaches, stylists and photographers, last year the girls released their self penned three track EP on iTunes. After supporting artists including Peter Andre, Sam Bailey and Kingsland Road on various dates across the UK, Girl Next Door felt inspired to record a music video for their track Should Have Known, shot during the Easter holidays at Dingles.
With its array of classic fairground rides, the colourful lights and vibrant atmosphere provided a perfect backdrop to the band’s debut video.
Ben Rees from The Famous Company said: “We scoured the country for the perfect location for the girls music video, but after finding Dingles we knew that this would be the perfect setting. Dingles has so many vintage fairground rides which were a perfect juxtaposition to the girls’ modern day pop song. The Famous Company is proud to have supported Dingles by making a donation for the use of the Heritage Centre which we hope will continue to develop and expand over the years to come.”
Dingles is home to the Fairground Heritage Trust, whose sole aim is to preserve the history of fairgrounds for future generations. The trust believes that fairgrounds have played a vital role in the shaping entertainment and leisure time of today’s society. Over the past few years the team has worked tirelessly to make sure that the history of classic fairground rides and sideshows is kept alive for generations to come.
