IT'S the moment of truth for a local history project as diggers hope to unearth more artefacts at the Heath to reveal more about what life was like in Petersfield during the Bronze Age.

Over the past week, professional and lay archaeologists have been working on the Heath as part of a second round of excavations to uncover a suspected Bronze Age barrows cemetery site.

George Anelay, who is leading the People of the Heath project, said he hopes diggers will discover new artefacts before Saturday.
