A BUDE man is making an impassioned plea to local residents, in the hope of securing funds for a potentially life saving operation.

Mark Bowman, a 46-year-old postman from Bude, was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma — cancer of the bile duct with portal vein and hepatic artery involvement — in October 2011.
