FIRE crews from Delabole Community Fire Station have issued a plea to people to be mindful of their parking.
The plea comes after fire crews found it difficult to pass through Pengelly when going about their usual operations.
Advice issued by fire services states: “The average fire engine is 2.6 metres (nine feet) wide and eight metres (26 feet) long; when you park your vehicle in a narrow street, always check you have left enough room for a fire engine to get past.”
A spokesperson for Delabole Community Fire Station said: “Please help us to respond to incidents swiftly and safely by being mindful of parking. Pengelly is extremely tight due to double parking and our fire appliance would struggle to negotiate in an emergency.”
