A deer was spotted swimming across the River Tamar at Calstock yesterday (May 16).
The deer was seen swimming across the river from the Devon side before exiting the river by the viaduct. It was spotted by Vanessa King who originally thought the animal in the water was an otter. Vanessa was amazed by the sight and said: 'Who knew deer could swim that far and proficiently.'
