IN reply to Terry Hale from Monmouth who said the baby boar was shot.
This made my blood boil as my wife and I saw it all and I took the photos. I gave a copy to my friend and he must have put them online.
Nine little piglets who had their mother shot were left to starve and fend for themselves.
They were under a fallen tree and two people came along with a whippet.
The dog was off the lead and it went after the babies. I ran after the dog to try to put it off and fell over twice, cutting my face.
I was too late and I heard the pig squeal – the dog went back to its master and dropped the piglet.
The woman put the dog on a lead, patting it on the head.
She was more concerned about the blood on my face than the piglet. They did not say they were sorry for they were not from around here.
As for Mr Hale saying the piglet was shot in the heart – they shoot boar and badger in the head not in the heart.
I suggest Mr Hale gets out more into the wood and sees what life is like in the woodland.
