THE chance to be part of filming for the final series of Doc Martin is being offered by a local charity.

Pawsome Pensions raises money to look after retired Police and Fire Service dogs in the South West.

The charity has teamed up with Buffalo Productions to offer a once-in-a-lifetimes opportunity to the winner of a raffle.

First prize is a day on the Doc Martin set, meeting the cast and even getting a role as an extra – as well as £100 towards accommodation nearby.

“Martin Clunes plays a grumpy, animal hating Doctor in the Series of Doc Martin but in real life, Martin is true animal lover and supports local animal charities like Pawsome Pensions,” said a spokesperson for the charity.

“The winner will spend a whole day on set with the stars and crew, a tour of the behind-the-scenes set and a chance to meet the cast. You will even get the chance to be an extra in the pub, in the waiting room in the Doc’s surgery or in a crowd scene walking down the idyllic Port Isaac’s streets.”
