THE chairman of Bude Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) has finished his cycle ride in honour of the 60th anniversary of the club, visiting 47 other surf life saving clubs around the country.
At 10am on Saturday (August 10) Adrian 'Horace' Parsons returned to Crooklets Beach, Bude, after travelling around 1,270 miles over the past three weeks.
Horace said: "After the Olympics, and with our 60th anniversary coming up, I thought it would be the perfect way to thread all the surf life saving clubs together across England to celebrate and recognise the work done by community volunteers."
