FOUR pubs took part in the annual rugby day at Holsworthy on May 3.
There were teams from the Crown and Sceptre, Kings Arms, Rydon Inn and the White Hart.
The winning team was the Crown and Sceptre and the runners up — Rydon Inn.
Player of the tournament was Stuart Dilling from the Crown and Sceptre, who was presented his trophy by referee Tony Hart.
The winner of the lorry pull was the White Hart, with the boat race and the egg throwing and catching won by Rydon Inn.
Jon Hutchings from the White Hart Hotel, who organised the rugby day as a community event, said it was a 'great day'.
He added: "We may struggle next year as the town council has insisted that next year there is an 'organisation' in charge. If any organisation would like to take on the event next year please make contact."
If anyone can help, please contact Jon on 01409 253475.
