AROUND 100 people went to the car park of the Bullers Arms in Marhamchurch on Sunday to protest the hotel's loss of the use of the car park and beer garden.
The current owner of the hotel, Nikki Unger, leased the car park and the beer garden from the previous owner, Stephen Rudman, who owns the land there.
Ms Unger said Mr Rudman served two week's notice on the lease, which came into effect on Monday October 20.
In August, Mr Rudman submitted a planning application to demolish the car park stores and last addition to the main area of the function suite and first floor bedrooms over the Bullers Arms and build seven houses on the car park.
The planning application was refused by Cornwall Council on October 7, the reason given in the notice of refusal that the application 'fails to demonstrate noise levels from the Bullers Arms pub and its outdoor space will not have an adverse impact on future residents of plot 1 within the proposed layout'.
