VOLUNTEERS behind the development of a new play park in Launceston are thrilled that they reached their crowdfunding target for a new piece of equipment for toddlers with time to spare.
The new equipment, a bumble bee see-saw, has now been installed at Lanstephan Area Play Park.
The park’s chairman, Iris Lindsay, said: “Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to our recent crowd funder campaign. We successfully reached our target with time to spare and have been able to install the bumble bee see-saw for toddlers on the Lanstephan Area Play Park.
“We funded this from a grant from Cornwall Community Foundation 100 Club, money left over from previous fund raising and the crowd funder campaign. The crowd funder was supported by Adam Paynter through the Cornwall Council community chest scheme and was topped up by a very generous donation from Jim McMahon.
“Thank you so much to everyone. Without all your support this wouldn’t have been possible.”
