ST Stephen’s by Launceston WI held a table top sale and cream tea to celebrate WI Day on September 16 at St Stephens Church Hall.
WI Day was the 100th anniversary of the first ever WI meeting held on the Isle of Anglesey and to celebrate this momentous occasion WIs all over the country organised various events.
Eighteen tables were hired and enthusiastic stall holders sold their wares including super crafts, scrumptious cookery, beautiful handmade jewellery and stunning cards.
A raffle was held and a delicious selection of homemade cakes and cream teas were available, supplied by the members of St Stephens WI.
For a bit of fun Celia Knight had dressed a scarecrow and attendees were invited to name him. Barbara Cobbledick won with ‘Straw Bob’!
