On Friday, May 5, Bude Memory Café held a cream tea to celebrate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.

Everyone was encouraged to wear red, white and blue and to enter our coronation crown or hat competition.

A spokesperson said: “The response was amazing and the room was full of enthusiastic and suitably attired participants.

“We were entertained by the brilliant Johnny Inder who encouraged us all to join in with the singing.

“We finished with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem accompanied by much flag-waving. The afternoon was rounded off with a delicious cream tea prepared earlier by our wonderful and dedicated volunteers.”

Bude Memory Café meet in the Parkhouse Centre on the first and third Friday of each month between 2pm and 4pm.

It is fun, friendly and free and new faces are very welcome.
