Bude-Stratton Town Council have been busy over the last few weeks implementing new ideas.

It was agreed at the last full council that Bude-Stratton Town Council will work with local partners to assist retailers to remove cheap polystyrene body boards from sale in Bude.

Encouraging the sale and use of more sustainable alternatives, as well as rental programmes, to avoid expensive, environmentally damaging and difficult to recycle waste from polluting beaches and the marine environment.

Any local retailers that would like to find out more contact the office and they can help get in touch with local partners – [email protected]

Tee council are also aware that there is growing frustration around the lack of clear visible signs showing the rules for dogs on beaches in the area.

It is the responsibility of Cornwall Council, who run and manage the beaches and manage the enforcement of the rules but Bude-Stratton Town Council, have agreed to have additional signs printed outlining the rules on beaches in Bude in a hope that this will help the situation.
