THE family of a Farnham teenager who died during a motocross event in Hampshire last year have welcomed a coroner's recommendations to make the sport safer.

Bradley Hooper, 16, died after he was hit by an airborne bike at the Tonymoto track near Winchester on May 11, 2014, an inquest has heard, just days before he was due to take his first GCSE exam at Heath End School.

Coroner Grahame Short returned an "accidental death" verdict at Winchester Coroner's Court on Tuesday but criticised the way marshals were deployed at the track.
