FOURTEEN teams — Helston, Lankelly-Fowey, Camborne, Saltash, Redruth, St Austell, Wadebridge, Truro, Penzance/ Newlyn, St Agnes, Launceston, Bude, Liskeard and Newquay with Launceston also having some loan players from Hayle — competed on a beautiful day for the Cup, Plate and Shield trophies.

Throughout the day the standard of rugby was very high and the gamesmanship and discipline shown by all the players was exemplary.

Both the Cup final and the Shield final were drawn games with the decision being made on the "who scored first" basis.

Penzance triumphed over Bude in the Shield, whilst Camborne took the Cup from Redruth. The Plate was won by St Agnes who had a decisive victory over Wadebridge.

The player who was judged to have best demonstrated the core values throughout the day gets the opportunity to attend a training camp with Lawrence Dallaglio, at Twickenham in June this year.

The lucky winner was Toby Hodson from Lankelly-Fowey. The five core values are sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, respect and enjoyment.

Launceston Rugby Club would like to thank all the teams for attending and providing such a great days sport and the sponsors for their support. The next festival to be held at Launceston will be the Under-15s Sevens on April 25.
