POPULAR business network, the Cornwall Innovation Club, is coming to Bude & North Golf Club on January 16.
The fully subsidised members’ club facilitates bi-monthly networking breakfasts, which feature inspirational speakers with expertise from all areas of innovation.
The Bude Cornwall Innovation Club event, titled ‘What the Future Looks Like’, will feature two businesses that are leading the way towards a cleaner planet: Cornish Lithium and Cleaner Seas Group.
The session will look at how new software and technology is helping to feed a growing demand for lithium and will also discuss how innovation is helping to rid our oceans of plastics.
The Cornwall Innovation Club is run by business support programme Acceleration Through Innovation (ATI), in partnership with the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and is the only business membership in Cornwall which is fully subsidised, thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The club was relaunched at the beginning of the year and now boasts a network of 150 member businesses.
Members receive various club benefits, such as 20% discount off Cornwall Chamber of Commerce membership and access to ATI’s new digital innovation platform, the ‘Innovation Studio’, as well as invitations to exclusive events that aim to nurture a culture of innovation in the Duchy, encourage valuable partnership and collaboration between businesses throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
ATI is a business support programme led by the University of Plymouth. November saw ATI successfully open its latest Pop-up Innovation Centre in Bude, located within Bude-Stratton council offices, a workspace that provided local businesses with innovation advice, hotdesking, meeting room space and office facilities.
All of ATI’s innovation support and services, including the Cornwall Innovation Club, are fully funded by the ERDF and are at no cost for small to medium sized enterprises based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
