CORNWALL Councillor for Launceston Central, Alex Folkes has declared that the decision made by the council's parking panel on Monday, January 24 could "help kill Launceston's town centre."

The panel had previously made a proposal which would see average hourly rates in Launceston rise by 42 per cent and would increase the season ticket price over the next two years to £600 from the current £195.

Cornwall's Conservative led cabinet reported two weeks ago that they had discovered 'new information'.
