CAMPSITES in Bude have been recognised for their excellence at a recent awards ceremony.

Campsites.co.uk recently held their Camping and Glamping Awards, the event aims to highlight the best camping, glamping, and touring sites across the UK, celebrating those who have gone above and beyond for outdoor enthusiasts throughout the year.

The company is one of the UK’s most popular websites for finding and booking the best camping, glamping and touring holidays, used by more than 10-million Brits each year. Their mission is to inspire people to get outdoors more often and feel more adventurous.

From the simplest, tucked-away camping spots to family-friendly holiday parks with swimming pools or luxurious glamping sites with oh-so-welcome hot tubs – there’s a favourite for all.

The awards span various categories, including ‘Best Campsite’, ‘Best Glamping Site’ and ‘Most Unique Site’. Other specific categories include ‘Greener Site Award’ and ‘Best Coastal Campsite’.

The awards also spotlight the ‘Best Budget Campsite’, which proves that unforgettable camping memories don’t need to come with a price tag.

At this year’s event, Cornwall performed brilliantly, proving why it is the chosen destination for thousands of tourists throughout the year.

Overall, the Duchy received 13 awards across nine sites.

Among these high performing areas is Bude, which won five awards over three sites.

East Thorne was awarded the winner of Best Glamping Site Overall and in the South West.

Wooda Farm Holiday Park was awarded the winner of Best Family Campsite, once again Overall and within the South West for its superb facilities and coastal views.

Finally, Pencuke Farm was awarded the runner up of Best Glamping Site for the South West, with beautifully furnished shepherd’s huts.

Martin Smith, the founder of Campsites.co.uk said: “Choosing gets tougher each year, but these sites went the extra mile.

“A huge congratulations to our winners, thank you for setting the camping bar so high!”
