SOME people fly to the continent, some go by coach or by car, but Steve Butter, from his home at Trebartha, Launceston, decided to start his world travels by cycling to family friends in Southern Sweden via France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Denmark.
After 10 months of travelling between September 2008 and July 2009, he settled back into his line of work as a designer of sheet metal products.
However, the travel bug never left him and so the desire to see more of the world and what made it tick, turned into reality when he got on his bike and cycled off on July 15 this year.
