CAMELFORD Town Council is to ask ATM providers to ensure paper receipts do not litter the town.
At the meeting of the town council on Tuesday, April 17, town clerk Esther Grieg told councillors that after enquiries were made to local stores, including the Co-op Camelford branch, following reports of receipts being left around, the store had come back to say that it was not their fault and that it was linked to the use of ATMs.
Ms Grieg suggested that the council contact ATM providers to ask if a paper bin could be placed by the service, so users could throw receipts away if unwanted.
