A town councillor from Launceston has completed the Brathay 10in10.

Cllr Davey Green set out to complete 10 consecutive days of the Windermere Marathon culminating with the annual Windermere Marathon on the final day.

Thirteen men and three women made the day one start line and Cllr Green finished 13th overall once the event was finished.

Cllr Green said: “One of the highlights was your local Labour Town Councillor sharing the final finish line with Lib Dem MP, Tim Farron, who is also a big supporter of The Brathay Trust.

“Another highlight was day eight when I completed my 250th marathon.”

Davey raised more than £4,000 for his efforts which brings his grand total raised for charity this year of £8,500— this includes running the London Marathon for Mencap in April.
