Tintagel
St Materiana's Church
A concert is to be given by Callum Flew to close the Tintagel Flower Festival on Sunday, August 10.
Callum will raise the roof with his powerful singing in a magnificent concert at 7pm to close the annual Flower Festival at Tintagel Church on the cliffs overlooking King Arthur's Castle.
The Tintagel Church Flower Festival has a very long tradition and is used to raise much needed funds for the running of this beautiful church. This year the Festival will include wedding gowns and baptism robes loaned by members and friends of the nearby Parishes. It is set to be a very beautiful display and will appeal to locals and visitors alike. For the first time, members of the Parish of Forrabury & Minster with Trevalga are assisting with the organisation of the Festival and will share the donations to help in the running of their churches.
The festival runs from Wednesday, August 6, to Sunday, August 10, from 10am to 4pm each day. Refreshments will be available in the church throughout the day and, weather dependent, there will be a barbecue each day between noon and 2pm. Wine and cheese will be available at the concert.
Callum Flew, who hails from Tintagel, has singing in has blood. His Grandfather formed The Denzil Flew Dance Band and Callum has been performing since he was 16 years old. He performs at weddings and other events in Cornwall and around the UK.
