The Proclamation was given in Holsworthy outside the town’s St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church with many in attendance to witness this auspicious occasion.

Members of the community watched on as Mayor of Holsworthy Cllr Helen Parker along with her consort Ian Parker and the town council were joined on the porch by Portreeve Barry Parrish and Town Crier Roger Dunstan, Mother Elizabeth Burke and other dignitaries for the Proclamation.

It was a moving service and afterwards Cllr Parker lay flowers in memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

On Saturday, September 17, at 3pm in St Peter & St Paul’s Church a Commemoration Service for Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II was held, with many people from the local area coming together to mourn and share their memories.
