A WELCOMING foyer with bunting and a tempting sales table greeted everyone as they entered the Parkhouse Centre to visit the Biennial Quilt Show, put on by members of the Parkhouse Patchwork Group. In the main hall an outstanding display of quilts and wall hangings revealed the exceptional talents of the local quilters, and a 'Bag Tombola' was kept busy with many delighted winners. The stage was set with a Christmas theme with quilts, table runners, Advent calendars, stockings and baubles, complemented by one corner of the hall devoted to the Christmas 'block of the month' completed last year by several of the group. Two traders, Cowslip and Villavin, displayed their many beautiful fabrics and notions, always an inspiration to would-be quilters. THE cheque is presented to the Alzheimer’s Society by Joanna Brown, chairlady, and Joan Lashbrook
