'A GARDEN full of colour — that was the accolade from a judge that won Gloria Dymond the prize for the best garden in the Holsworthy in Bloom competition. There were several entries for the competition, which was judged by Brooks Garden Centre manager Dean Ford and Courtney Drew. It was the second year running that Gloria has won the competition. She also notched top spot in the hanging baskets category. Mr Ford said the baskets were 'meticulously maintained, not a dead flower in sight'. He was impressed with the standard of fuchsia, saying they take a lot of planning and maintenance to produce the showy heads of colour.
