A successful coffee morning in aid of Marie Curie Nurses was organised by Pam Langley at Otterham and St Juliot Hall, ably helped by several villagers.
The coffee and home baked cakes were enjoyed while brains were teased with a quiz about food.
A bear named Bailey found a new home and tombola, bric-a-brac and book stalls together with a raffle all helped to raise £440.
