CAKES, coffee and conversation were on offer at a coffee morning raising money to help transform the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people in the community.

The Stratton and District Friends’ Group has supported disability charity St Loye’s Foundation for a number of years, organising community events to raise funds.

The coffee morning on October 2 proved to be a huge success, providing St Loye’s Foundation staff an opportunity to talk to the community about the work they have achieved in the Bude area.

Through sales of tea, coffee, home-made cakes, Christmas cards and a raffle the event raised £242.25.

The friends’ group expressed thanks to all local retailers who contributed to the raffle, including Redesigned, Lansdown Dairy, Lansdowne Bakery and Killock Farm.
