TINTAGEL Sea Angling Club held its annual bass shore competition recently.

The event was well supported with 78 entries. First prize was sponsored by Sharps Brewery and £250 was awarded to Simon Toms for a fabulous specimen fish of 4.599kg (202.87%).

Tintagel angler Marcus May was second with a superb fish of 3.090kg (136.30%) and won a beachcaster rod. John Smith claimed third with a fish of 2.799kg (123.47%) and won a light bass rod.
