Now in his fourth term of office representing Kingsteignton East, Cllr Mike Walters said he was 'very pleased' to have retained his seat.

The Conservative said he was pleased the party was doing so well, so far, in the district elections.

He said: 'We have worked had within the district and hopefully the situation here is improving.

'We have a good team here at Teignbridge and long may it continue.'
