THE annual Poundstock Craft Fair and Pumpkin Festival, held at the Gildhouse, attracted a large crowd again this year.
One of the popular sights was of Morwenstow 19-year-old Peter Roberts' giant pumpkin.
The pumpkin, a clear winner, was so big that there was no means of weighing it on site; keen to know the weight, Peter took it from the festival to a weigh bridge at Hallworthy Market, where it was found to be 510.1 pounds (231.4kg).
However, as impressive as the vegetable was, it is believed that it is not the biggest in Cornwall.
