ON SUNDAY, May 15 the East Devon Junior Badminton League held their annual end of season tournament at Riverside leisure centre in Exeter.

Alistair Prades from Shebbear who attends Holsworthy Community College and plays at Queens BC in Crediton, competed in the U-14 competition.

In the Singles he won all his matches to get to the final where he beat fellow Devon county team-mate Mac Powell from Halwill (who also attends Holsworthy CC).

In the Boys Doubles he teamed up with Matthew Isaac from Halwill . They played well together winning all their matches and the Boys Doubles title.

Finally, in the Mixed Doubles event Alistair played with another Devon team-mate Izzy Hampton from Barnstaple. Again they were on a winning streak and this time took the Mixed Doubles title - a clean sweep of all three titles for Alistair and a very successful end to the season!
