A PLANNING application seeking permission to demolish an existing classroom building and the erection of a replacement classroom building at St Joseph’s School, Launceston has been submitted to Cornwall Council.
A statement submitted to the council by agent Studio Winter Chartered Architect on behalf of the school states the existing two-storey, pitched roof classroom building, known as the Cedar building/block, needs to be replaced.
The proposal is for a three-storey building with a flat roof, which the agent said ‘will be only marginally taller than that that it seeks to replace’.
