LAUNCESTON’S Rotary Club is encouraging members of the public to nominate local people for the Citizen of the Year 2016 awards.

Members of the public are invited to nominate local persons who have carried out good work throughout 2016 within the local community.

Nominations should be submitted to Rotarian John Stabb at Launceston Golf Club or by email at [email protected].

Nominations should include a paragraph about the community work carried out by the nominee, and should be submitted before October 1 this year.

The winner of the Citizen of the Year, together with the person who nominated them, will be invited to join the Rotary Club at their Christmas lunch at the Golf Club on Sunday, December 18 2016, where a presentation will be made.
