OVER 80 children from Kilkhampton Primary School walked with their teachers and helpers to St James' Church to receive a 'hands on' experience of Christmas, on Friday, December 13.

The programme consisted of five separate 'tableau stations' where they were greeted by a welcomer.

In their groups, they met with the events leading up to Christmas. Children focused on preparing their hearts and homes for Advent; there was a visit to Mary's kitchen and hearing the reported promise of the birth of Jesus. They made the long journey to Bethlehem and with the Shepherds they heard glorious message from the angels.
