AROUND 50 children from Coads Green Primary School were given a tour around a Launceston printing company.

KCS, at Pennygillam Industrial Estate, took the children on the 'school of print' tour as part of the company's new branding for the year.

The 7 to 11 year olds were shown around the factory where they learnt about the artwork studio, platemaking, the finishing department and the printing presses in the main factory. All the children were delighted to handfoil their own named certificate to show they had been on the tour.

Divided into four groups they learnt how printing has developed from letter press and type setting through to lithographic printing and digital presses.
