HAVING first come to Kilkhampton as an evacuee from London during World War Two, Ellen Cooper admits she probably never would have visited the village were it not for the conflict — now a Canadian citizen, she and husband Ken have endeavoured to return once more and celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary.
