A HOLSWORTHY man completed a 115-mile Turbo Challenge in aid of Cancer Research.
Gary Vernon, who works at Ambrosia Creamery in Lifton, took to his bike at Waitrose to raise money for the charity. He is also training for the Premier Tour de Yorkshire Challenge, which follows the Tour de France 2014 route.
The challenge has been organised by Premier Foods and includes a number of staff from the Ambrosia Creamery.
Gary said: “A big thank you to Holsworthy Waitrose staff for looking after me on the day and all the companies who donated prizes. Thanks also to all the people who supported the raffle or donated on the day. I raised £750 for Cancer Research.”
